JOHN DENVER The RCA Albums Collection (Limited Edition 25-CD Clamshell Box Set comprising 25 albums originally released 1966-1986. Across a career cut short by his death in a plane crash in 1997 at age 53, John Denver became one of thedefining pop voices of the 1970s, blending folk and country influences into songs built around nature, love and beauty, "Sunshine on My Shoulders" among the clearest statements of that recurring theme. Denver sold millions of records to a devoted fan base and had a sharp ear for other writers' material, covering Jerry Jeff Walker's "Mr. Bojangles" alongside songs by James Taylor and John Prine. This collection gathers his RCA studio albums in full, including major gold and platinum sellers Poems, Prayers and Promises (featuring "Take Me Home, Country Roads" and "Sunshine on My Shoulders"), Rocky Mountain High, and Windsong (featuring "Annie's Song" and "I'm Sorry"), alongside his rare, privately pressed 1966 debut John Denver Sings.
