Dutch fishing boats sailed for centuries in the shallow coastal waters of the Zuiderzee Sea. The Zuiderzee was a large inland sea north of the Netherlands. The completion in 1932 of a large dike split it in two, creating a large inland saltwater lake called the Ijsselmeeer and adding the rest of the former inland sea to the Wadden Sea. This model is at 1:35 scale. Once finished it will have measurements of 18.70'' (475mm) length, 4.52'' (115mm) width and 14.76'' (375mm) height. The model includes decals, thus achieving even greater realism. In addition, it is double lined, which provides a better assembly quality.
