HAMMER - Trapped - Vinyl (translucent green vinyl LP)
HAMMER Trapped (Hailing from the small Midlothian town of Penicuik, Scottish metal quintet Hammer erupt with ferocity and vision on their new album Trapped - a statement of intent from one of the most talked-about new names in the UK extreme metal scene. Pressed on striking Translucent Green Vinyl, Trapped delivers seven uncompromising tracks, each brimming with technical precision, battering-ram rhythms, and towering riffs that fuse brutal heaviness with clever, nuanced musicality. Echoes of Strapping Young Lad's chaos and Pig Destroyer's grind are present, yet the sound is unmistakably Hammer-raw, intelligent, and entirely their own. From the punishing opener "Mea Culpa" through to the crushing closer "Alive", this record bulldozes through genre conventions with the energy of a band both self-assured and sonically fearless. Featuring original artwork by revered French artist Remy Cooper (Headsplit Design) - known for his work with Cryptopsy, Arch Enemy, Pig Destroyer, and Napalm Death - Trapped is poised to mark a defining chapter for Hammer and the wider metal landscape in 2025)TRACKLISTING AND EXTRA INFORMATIONSide One1.
