At Forest Fundamentals, we are longtime UCO lantern users. Over the years, we’ve made numerous DIY Oil Inserts from old aerosol cans. Eventually, we decided to create our own—introducing the Forest Fundamentals Oil Inserts! COST-EFFECTIVE: Oil Inserts are far more cost-effective than candles. A 3-pack of candles costs approximately £8.99 ($11.94) and offers 27 hours of burn time. In contrast, a 4-litre bottle of paraffin or lamp oil costs about £13.94 ($18.51) and provides approximately 560- 640 hours of burn time. That’s approximately £0.31 ($0.41) saved per hour of burning—excluding the cost of the oil inserts! ADJUSTING THE FLAME SIZE: Oil Inserts allow you to adjust the flame size by lengthening the wick. Oil also burns brighter and is more wind-resistant than candles. EASILY REPLACE THE WICKS OUTDOORS: No special tools are needed to replace the wicks. Each Oil Insert comes with detailed instructions and 60cm of spare cotton wick, offering approximately 800 hours of burn time. LONG BURN TIMES: We have maximised the size of the oil chamber for longer burn times. A full lantern holds 25ml of fuel and provides around 3.5–4 hours of burn time. For multi-day use, a small 500ml bottle of lamp oil will provide around 70 hours of burn time—equivalent to 8 replacement candles! SAFETY-FOCUSED DESIGN: The inserts are CNC machined from 6061 aluminium. O-rings make the Oil Inserts fully watertight, preventing leaks and allow for safe carrying of fuel inside the bottles. STORAGE BAGS & LANYARD TOGGLES: The high-vis orange bags and toggles keep everything visible and easy to find. During use, the insert lid easily attaches to the lantern with the elastic lanyard. DESIGNED FOR FULL COMPATIBILITY: The height of the inserts allows the lantern to fully close with the Oil Inserts inside for easy transport. They work just like candles—only with oil! Refunds
Sellers have to offer a refund for certain items only if they are faulty, such as: Personalised items and custom-made items, Perishable items, Newspapers and magazines, Unwrapped CDs DVDs and computer software. If you used your PayPal balance or bank account to fund the original payment, the refunded money will go back to your PayPal account balance. If you used a credit or debit card to fund the original payment, the refunded money will go back to your card. The seller will effect the refund within three working days but it may take up to 30 days for Paypal to process the transfer. For payments funded partially by a card and partially by your balance/bank, the money taken from your card will go back to your card and the remainder will return to your PayPal balance.
