Massive heat sinks with a high surface area to volume ratios and cast end caps to hide the wiring connections and keep things controlled – helped by forced air cooling on the real bass monsters. The newly designed IPA8701D, IPA8704D, IPA9701D and IPA9704D now incorporate digital technology into their design, these amps are direct competition to the Pioneer GM-D amplifiers. The IPA series amplifiers are designed for performance in a performance build. So there is no speaker level input, these are designed to fit with an aftermarket headunit. But you do not need to panic, you can use a line out converter to fit this amplifier to your factory system. For fitting the IPA series amp to a factory system we advise using the In Phase SRCAPro or for higher performance, the In Phase SRC6. Improved Circuit DesignTo prevent circuit shutdown, In Phase's new digital amplifier circuit, senses its internal temperature and automatically moderates input level accordingly. Stable, durable circuitry lessens the risk of high input power for the unit to achieve 1 Ω connection on the Monoblock IPA Amp and 2Ω for the 4 channel IPA Amps. This design enhances the flexibility to connect multiple subwoofers to a system. Variable Low Pass FilterFor extra flexibility, a variable LPF makes audio frequency more adjustable according to subwoofer characteristics and personal listening preferences. The LPF is adjustable from 30 Hz to 250 Hz. Small FootprintThe IPA series amps are not massive slabs of metal/plastic. They are compactly designed ensuring easy fitting. True RMS PowerThe In Phase IPA8701D/IPA8704D go through numerous check points to ensure you get the true performance you are paying for.
