Product Description

This fast-growing, hardy rambling rose thrives in full sun and fertile, moist, well-drained soil. It produces clusters of scented, creamy-white flowers from July to August that mature to pale pink against shiny green foliage. Because of its extreme vigor, it is perfect for covering large walls or structures with sufficient space. Our roses are field-grown and harvested in autumn. We pot them to maintain root hydration, though they remain dormant until spring, which may cause potting material to loosen during transplanting. While they can stay in pots through winter if fed and watered, they should be planted out as soon as possible. These roses arrive pre-pruned, so routine pruning only begins the following late winter. When planting, select a frost-free period. Dig a hole twice as wide as the roots and incorporate composted matter. Apply a general-purpose fertilizer and a root stimulant to the soil to support development, especially in areas where roses were previously grown. Ensure the bud union is at soil level before back-filling and watering thoroughly. Provide sturdy support and tie stems in an open fan shape. If planting near a tree, place the rose at least one metre from the trunk or at the edge of the canopy. Maintain regular watering until established and apply rose fertilizer and a mulch of composted manure every spring, keeping it away from the stems. For maintenance, remove old or flowered stems and shorten side shoots in late summer. Overgrown plants can be renovated from late autumn to late winter by removing dead or weak wood and retaining several young stems.
