CRANK HANDLE TO EASILY OPEN & CLOSE: Forget about fiddling around with a rope pulley system because the parasol has a crank handle to easily raise and lower its canopy. Simply wind the handle one way to open the canopy and the other way to close it. The handle is made from steel and is powder-coated for rust-resistance and a premium look and feel. STURDY STEEL POLE WITH 38MM DIAMETER: The pole and ribs are made from steel which is heavier than aluminium for greater strength, stability, and wind-resistance. The pole has a 38mm diameter and comes in two parts which lock together to easily assemble and disassemble. Like the handle, the pole and ribs are powder-coated to protect them from rust.
