Precise Cooking Control with FlameSelect Take the guesswork out of cooking with Bosch FlameSelect technology. Instead of adjusting the flame by eye, simply turn the control knob to select one of nine predefined flame levels. Whether you're gently simmering a sauce, sautéing vegetables or searing meat, FlameSelect provides consistent, predictable heat control to help you achieve the results you want. Five Gas Burners for Flexible Cooking With five cooking zones across its spacious 90cm surface, the Bosch PPM9A6I40 gives you the flexibility to prepare several dishes at once. The different burner sizes accommodate a variety of cooking requirements, from delicate heating to more powerful cooking. The hob features the following burner configuration: 1 x 4.0 kW wok burner: Ideal for high-temperature cooking, rapid boiling and controlled simmering. 1 x 3.0 kW high-speed burner: Provides powerful heat for faster cooking and boiling. 2 x 1.75 kW standard burners: Suitable for everyday cooking tasks, including frying, sautéing and simmering. 1 x 1.0 kW economy burner: Designed for gentle heating and low-temperature cooking. With a total gas connection rating of 11,500 W, this five-burner gas hob offers versatile cooking performance for a busy kitchen. Powerful Wok Burner with Dual Flame Control The integrated 4.0 kW wok burner delivers the flexibility needed for different cooking techniques. Use higher heat for rapid boiling and stir-frying, or reduce the flame for gentle simmering and preparing delicate sauces. The dual flame power burner provides powerful heat when required while allowing more delicate temperature control for lower-heat cooking. This makes it easier to move between different cooking methods without compromising control. Sleek Black Tempered Glass Design Give your kitchen a contemporary finish with the Bosch PPM9A6I40 black glass gas hob. Its durable tempered glass surface combines an elegant appearance with the strength needed for everyday cooking. The smooth black glass complements modern kitchen designs, while the robust construction provides a stable surface for cooking with heavy pans. Full metal control knobs add a premium finishing touch, with a practical front-mounted layout that keeps flame adjustments within easy reach. Dishwasher-Suitable Cast Iron Pan Supports Cleaning up after cooking is easier thanks to the dishwasher-suitable cast iron pan supports. Their specially optimised surfaces are designed to withstand dishwasher cleaning while resisting corrosion, cracking and discolouration. Simply remove the pan supports and place them in the dishwasher, reducing the need for time-consuming scrubbing. Semi-Continuous Pan Supports for Added Convenience The Bosch PPM9A6I40 features semi-continuous cast iron pan supports that combine practical handling with a stable cooking surface. Unlike larger, heavier pan supports, the individual sections are smaller and easier to lift, remove and clean. Their manageable size also makes them more convenient to fit into a sink or dishwasher. When positioned on the hob, the supports create a continuous surface for your pots and pans, making everyday cooking more convenient. Removable Control Knobs for Effortless Cleaning Keeping your gas hob clean is simpler with removable control knobs. Unlike fixed dials, the knobs can be detached to provide easier access to the areas underneath and around the controls. Combined with the smooth tempered glass surface and dishwasher-suitable pan supports, this practical design helps make regular cleaning quicker and more convenient. Flexible Flush or Surface-Mounted Installation The Bosch Series 6 PPM9A6I40 90cm gas hob offers flexible installation options to suit your kitchen design. Choose between a standard surface-mounted installation or a flush-mounted arrangement for a more integrated appearance. This flexibility allows the hob to complement different worktop styles and kitchen layouts. For flush installation, a minimum worktop thickness of 30 mm is required. For standard installation, the minimum worktop thickness is 20 mm without a spacer or 12 mm with a separately ordered spacer. Flame Failure Safety Device for Every Burner Cook with added reassurance thanks to the integrated flame failure safety device fitted to each burner. If a flame is accidentally extinguished, the safety system automatically cuts off the gas supply to the affected burner, helping to prevent unwanted gas from escaping. This essential safety feature provides additional peace of mind during everyday cooking.
